Since 2000, Corrientes has been part of London’s Argentine Tango story. We are proudly the oldest established Tango club in the UK.

Since Corrientes opened its doors in 2000, founders Mina and Giraldo have built a Tango club that brings the atmosphere and traditions of Buenos Aires to London. For more than 25 years, dancers from London, across the UK and around the world have come together at Corrientes to enjoy Argentine Tango as a social dance — dancing in traditional tandas, following the ronda and sharing the floor with respect, connection and musicality. Our Saturday socials celebrate the authentic Buenos Aires salon style, with carefully selected music from local and international Tango DJs.

To walk into a traditional Argentine Tango milonga is to step into a living clockwork. The room does not operate on chaos; it is governed by an unspoken social contract written in the architecture of the music and the geometry of the floor. Two core structures hold this world together: the tanda (the musical chapter) and the ronda (the shared circle). Together, they transform a room of separate individuals into a singular, breathing organism.

MORE THAN A MILONGA
Corrientes Social Club is more than social dancing, we run regular workshops, weekly Practicas that truly help Tango enthusiasts to develop and polish their dancing to high standards. An established Argentine tango school running weekly classes, workshops and Practicas in the London Boroughs of Camden (Kilburn) and Bromley (West Wickham). Corrientes in Chalk Farm (ChalkFarm Tube) runs on Saturday twice a month.
